The Bianconeri Bring In Ex- Azzurri Manager Spalletti

The Serie A powerhouse have chosen former Italian national team manager Spalletti to lead the team for the remainder of the campaign.

The experienced coach steps in for Igor Tudor, who was let go post the Lazio setback last weekend.

The former boss came on board in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but departed after seven months following a string of eight matches without a victory.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
